Plot Summary: Devil May Cry follows the adventures of the demon hunter Dante who himself is half demon and half human. Dante is hired through his own business named "Devil May Cry". The characters are based off of the popular capcom playstation 2 games.

Dante is the main character of the Devil May Cry series. He carries a pair of guns named Ebony & Ivory and a sword. He is half human and half demon, as is his twin brother Vergil, and he can activate Devil Trigger to use his demon side. He is seemingly immortal. He is known for acting cool and his trash talking.
Devil May Cry

Dante is the main character in this game. He is very comical, and has mysterious demon powers that he doesn't know much about. He works in his own company "Devils Never Cry", where he goes out and takes down demons. He doesn't know much about his past and goes to Mallet Island to learn more about it. He eventually finds out that he is the son of the Legendary Dark Knight Sparda, and that this is where his demonic powers come from. His quest is to defeat one of the demons that his father was able to lock away, named Mundus.
Devil May Cry 2


Much different than the previous installment, in Devil May Cry 2, Dante is a lot more silent, and most of his witty remarks are gone. He is no longer the smart back-talking charismatic character that he was in Devil May Cry 1. He now seems to have matured greatly, and seems to accept everything that has been thrown at him, and looks to defeat anything that remains in his path. He goes to help Lucia fend off the demons that Arius has released on her island. He in this game now must stop Arius from taking over the world.

Dante is younger and more cocky than ever before in this installment. While lazing around his day is interrupted by an intrusion in his office. His brother Vergil is sending for him, for reasons unknown. Soon after in the opening sequence carnage erupts and you are propelled into the game. Much to the delight of female fans around the world, Dante has no top on in this game for the first level and you can see his chest. He still sports his red leather trench-coat to cool effect while doing his various moves. The silent Dante of Devil May Cry 2 is no more and we are back to the bantering and insulting between Dante and major enemies. What will be said when Dante and Vergil come face to face remains to be seen....


Devil May Cry 4

The star of the series, Dante the half-devil returns in the fourth instalment, and potentially in a new role. Armed with his trusty pistols Ebony and Ivory and his sword Rebellion, it appears that Dante is going up against a religious group known as the Order of the Sword, based in the city of Fortuna, who worship the legend of Sparda and hunt demons. For the first time in the series Dante will have to share the spotlight with another, the young demon hunter Nero who also seems to have some kind of link to the Sparda bloodline.

Devil May Cry

A mysterious young woman who takes Dante to Mallet Island to help defeat Mundus. She resembles the looks of Dante's Mother, Eva, which helps in the cause of getting Dante to go to Mallet Island. She joins Dante in his quest to defeat Mundus. But nobody knows what is really going on with this girl. She is a creation of Mundus the Demon ruler. She has been sent to take Dante to Mundus. She has already defeated Vergil Dante's twin brother and Vergil is now under Mundus's control.

Devil May Cry 2

Despite not playing a role in this game, she still appears as a hidden character, below is a list of moves available when using Trish:
ROUND TRIP – Hold triangle for a while and then release, while targeting an enemy. The Sparda sword will turn into a scythe, and spin toward the enemy doing damage to anything in its path.
PLACE SWORD ON THE GROUND– Hold L2 and triangle, and then release triangle. Trish will place her sword on the ground and is able to do bare-handed combos
PICK SWORD BACK UP – Press L2 once over your sword to pick your sword back up. If you leave the area, the sword automatically is placed back on Trish’s back. Bare-Handed Combos: Same as Dante's from Devil May Cry 1
MAGMA DRIVE – Press triangle and pull the left analog stick backwards. Trish will powerfully punch the enemy into the air.
KICK13 – Press triangle and press the left analog stick forwards. Trish rushes to the enemy, with a powerful kick.
AERIAL KICK – While midair press triangle. Trish will kick the enemy from above.
BARE-HANDED COMBOS – Press triangle three times to do a combo with a Trish. Special Moves
DIVINE BEAMS – While in Devil Trigger and midair, press square to send yellow beams throughout the enemies body.
VORTEX – While in midair, and in devil trigger mode, simultaneously press square and triangle. Similar to Dante’s Devil May Cry 1 move, Trish is able to quickly spin around, like a vortex, and dash through the air killing enemies.

Devil May Cry 4

Trish appears in a few occasions throughout cut-scenes as both Trish and Gloria. She disguises herself as Gloria so she can spy on the Order of the Sword while still working for Dante. She quickly rises through the ranking of the Order by bring Sanctus the legendary blade Sparda in order to gain their trust.[/color]
